RYA Youth National Championships 2017

Hello everyone!! So the Youths was last week. I am currently revising for my AS's stuck inside when it's sunny+blue skies outside and I could be sailing! Uhhh! Plenty of sailing over the summer though so get the exams out the way! :D

The Youths was my first event with Eve. The first part of the week was VERY shifty and light. We didn't have the best first two days, partly because we'd only sailed together 5 or 6 times together prior to the event and we were sorting out the processes. We qualified for Gold fleet though and Wednesday (start of the final series) was windy!! So much fun! :) Thursday and Friday we had light-medium winds and managed to get two fifths.

Our results improved so much throughout the week and we finished 16th overall. Because we didn't have the best qualifying series it really dragged us down (as points were taken through into final series not place number) but we did a good recovery climbing back to 16th and 4th Ladies Team Overall, narrowly missing out on 3rd Ladies place.

Bit of a break now for exams and then a summer packed of sailing! Yayyy! This includes the 29er World Championships in Long Beach (LA), the GBR National Championships in Weymouth and the European Championships in Quiberon (France). Super excited!! :D
